Today, I found another cool startup that uses no-code to manage their operations.

These guys caught my eye mainly because they’ve raised $365 million in funding since 2013, and they’ve processed over $1 billion in sales.

So, what does Dividend Finance do?

Well, they’re into solar and home improvement. They help homeowners out by offering them financial options to set up solar panels and other green energy stuff.

Now, here’s the interesting part — when setting up their onboarding customer portal, the founders opted for the Bubble no-code tool.

Why no-code? You don’t need any technical expertise to build. Why Bubble? you can build any possible software.

It made the sign-up process for new customers. It’s pretty cool to see that even if you’re dealing with tons of customers and handling big bucks, Bubble is still a quick and secure choice.

Oh, and just recently, the founders signed a deal with Credit Suisse and CitiBank.

These big shots are giving them an extra $350 million in financing.

Awesome, right?

So, how you can also build a customer portal like Dividend Finance for customers using No-Code?

No worries, I will show you the step-by-step process:

  1. Go to Bubble and create a free account.
  2. Define Features: List the things you want your portal to do, like displaying invoices, managing subscriptions, or handling tickets.
  3. Data Model: Plan how you’ll store information. This might involve “Users,” “Orders,” “Tickets,” etc. Define their properties (e.g., name, email, order details).
  4. Design Pages: Start with essential pages like “Dashboard,” “Profile,” and relevant feature pages. Use Bubble’s drag-and-drop editor to design layouts.
  5. User Login: Set up user login using Bubble’s built-in options (email/password) or integrate with social logins.
  6. Data Display: Use Bubble’s elements like “Repeating Groups” to display data relevant to users, like their orders, tickets, or invoices.
  7. Functionality: Add functionalities like search bars, filters, or forms for users to interact with the portal. Bubble also offers plugins for advanced needs.
  8. Integrations: If you need, then connect Bubble to external services like payment gateways (Stripe) or support tools (Zendesk) to enhance your portal.
  9. Testing & Refinement: Thoroughly test your portal for bugs and usability. Use Bubble’s preview mode to see it from a user’s perspective.
  10. Launch & Maintain: Once happy, deploy your portal. Bubble offers different hosting options. Regularly update and maintain your portal for a smooth user experience.

Bonus Tip: Explore Bubble’s community and templates for inspiration and pre-built elements to accelerate your development.
